Susan Erickson is the Owner and Principal of P-W Insurance, Inc. in Petersburg, Alaska, where she has helped individuals, families, and businesses navigate their insurance needs for decades. Licensed in Alaska and Washington since 1986, Susan brings more than 40 years of insurance experience and a deep understanding of the unique risks faced by Alaska’s coastal communities and industries.

As a commercial lines agent, Susan specializes in commercial boats, contractors, tour operators, public entities, and other complex business insurance needs. Her firsthand knowledge of Alaska’s industries allows her to provide thoughtful risk management guidance and customized coverage solutions designed to protect what clients have worked hard to build.

Susan began her insurance career working in her father’s agency in Detroit, Michigan, before moving to Petersburg in 1986 to continue serving clients in Alaska. In 1998, she purchased P-W Insurance and has since led the agency with a strong commitment to personalized service, community involvement, and long-term client relationships.

Outside of insurance, Susan enjoys life on and around the water with her husband, Jeff, a commercial fisherman. After years of commercial fishing alongside him, she uses her Xtratufs for family adventures with their two sons, Skipper and Britton. She continues to enjoy all things water—whether swimming, water skiing, or ice skating—and remains actively involved in the Petersburg community through organizations including the Chamber of Commerce, Viking Swim Club, Little League, public radio, and other local initiatives
